I think 2011 will be an interesting year for music and its artists. The process of releasing recordings is changing, and there are some amazing opportunities for us to reach more people than ever,  for far less investment. Unique skills and creativity and rad sound will always be important. i think the key will be artists/bands teaming up with producers/engineers at the recording stage and sharing in the profits,  recording singles, instead of large sums being spent upfront with no guarantee of sales along the way.  Those days are over.
